Module 4: Forgive Your Relationships
Why should I forgive my wife when SHE was wrong?

I first learned the concepts of non-violence in my marriage.

Practicing the lesson – post your answers below!

A friend of mine, Krystalya Marié, has a powerful story and exercise to assist you in putting these concepts into practice:

It was many years after I had been beaten and stabbed by a man I had dated, before I learned the power of forgiveness. Until I forgave him, I continued to attract abusive people into my life, and they all reflected how I was abusive to myself.

In a situation like this, you may find that you have no way to contact the person to forgive them face to face. Here’s what I recommend. Sit quietly making sure that you won’t be disturbed for at least 20 minutes.

  • Visualize yourself face to face with the person you want to forgive, looking deep within their eyes.
  • Repeat the following statements out loud until you feel love flowing between the two of you, before moving onto the next statement.
    1. (Name) I let go of my anger toward you for (event).
    2. (Name) I let go of my resentment toward you for (event).
    3. (Name) I forgive you for (event).
    4. (Name) Thank you for (the lesson of…), I love you.
    5. (Name) I release you from any guilt you may have incurred for (event).
    6. (Name) I release you to move forward in your life in Total and Complete Love.
    7. I am now moving forward in my life in Total and Complete Love.
    8. I love you, may your soul be filled with love, light and laughter as you move forward.
  • Visualize the issue dissolving into tiny particles that blow away.
  • See yourself hugging the person, while surrounding them in love and light.

I know this may be very difficult for many of you who also have been beaten, abused, or raped. But if she can do it – you can do it. No one here is better or worse than anyone else. We have all been hurt and we have all hurt others.

Today’s Affirmation

I forgive myself for not taking responsibility for the co-creation of my relationships.
I have gratitude for my partners and the lessons they have shared with me.

    Sheri,

Thank you again for all of the great information. My work schedule has not allowed me to listen in on the calls so I will write a question I would like addressed.

During the past 1 1/2 years, I have lost (through death) 2 of my best friends. One was my friend and mentor (who helped me start my business) and one was a divine being who showed me so much love, respect, and was probably the most true blue friend I have ever had. I am honored of course to have had these beings of light in my life and appreciate so much our relationships and the things that we taught each other.

I have mourned my losses on many levels – everything from disbelief, to sadness, and anger. I am really struggling right now with how much anger I feel. Any words of wisdom to help me get to the next step??

    Love, Lisa
