Module 2: Forgive Yourself
Of course my life’s bad, it’s my mother’s fault.
The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You don’t blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the President. You realize that you control your own destiny.

Practicing the lesson – post your answers below!
List three situations that you have felt victimized by. For each one:
- Write down why you felt that way.
- Look carefully at what you wrote and ask yourself if it is truth. For example, if you wrote that you feel victimized by your partner for having an affair, is it truth that they did anything to you? No. They simply took actions based on whatever they believed at the time. Their choices had nothing to do with you.
- Take the following three actions:
- Take responsibility for your inner guilt, shame, remorse and projected anger.
- Make a choice as to how to proceed forward in your life in a positive fashion.
- Forgive your partner and yourself for actions taken in non-awareness.
Take notice of three situations that you caused that you feel guilty about.
- Write down why you feel that way.
- As above, ask yourself if what you wrote is really truth. For example, perhaps you feel guilty for stealing money from your business partner. If you wrote that you are a terrible person, is this truth? No, it is not. You took actions based on what you had in your mind at the time. Maybe you felt you deserved the money or that you were angry for actions your partner took and you felt he/she deserved your revenge. Whatever the reasons, they were simply lies that your ego-mind proposed to you and you took those thoughts to be truth. In the end, there are no justifications or rationalizations for projecting our anger and guilt onto others. It is the total non-awareness of your divinity that allowed you to hurt yourself and take those painful actions.
- Again, take the following three actions:
- Take responsibility for your inner guilt, shame, remorse and projected anger.
- Make a choice as to how to proceed forward (perhaps repay your debt or make amends).
- Forgive yourself and your partner for all actions taken in non-awareness.
Today’s Affirmation
I forgive myself for any acts I have committed without awareness of my divinity and for disempowering myself and falling victim to my own fear-based thoughts and the fear-based thoughts and actions of others.
